Can it get any worse?

Another week has passed, and some rather brutal financial reports were released. It seems like one week economists say that there’s some hope for the end of the year, and the next week the sky is falling once again. Well NFL free agency started - it’s not the same as the Super Bowl but maybe it’ll distract a few naysayers for a while so the rest of us can have at least a moment of “Rome is not burning” peace.
There were several large reports released this week, and in American news the continuing falling of the Dow Jones and yet another government intervention being needed to save Citigroup is shaking everything up. Meanwhile other world reports are mixed, although there’s no arguing that the trend is definitely gloomier than it was even a few weeks ago.
So without further hesitation, let’s take on the bad news head on and jump into this week’s installment of the week in review.

The USD/JPY has a pending short pivot trade. The EUR/USD has a pending long trade. This pair created a new pending short pivot trade at the close of this session. The GBP/USD has a pending long pivot trade. This pair created a new pending short pivot trade at the close of this session. There is a pending short pivot trade in the USD/CHF.
There are no significant news announcements for tomorrow’s session. Therefore, there are no pending mover’s trades for tomorrow.

All four major pairs gapped at the open yesterday. The USD/JPY gap trade produced a profit of +38 pips. The EUR/USD gap trade produces a profit of +28 pips. The GBP/USD gapped down and created a +28 pip profit on the first leg. The second leg is still open. The USD/CHF gap trade produced a +66 pip profit.
The USD/JPY has a pending short pivot trade. The EUR/USD has a new pending short trade. The GBP/USD has a pending long pivot trade and a pending pivot trade. There is a pending short pivot trade in the USD/CHF.
