The Importance of Balancing the Fundamentals Along with any Technical Strategy

Well another week is in the books, and the economic reports continue to roll in. For some currencies it was a good week of reports, while other currencies struggled a little bit. This week there was little news from the Pacific economies of Japan, Australia, and New Zealand while Europe had a moderate amount of important reports.

This was a week with many more minor or low priority economic reports, which is not surprising considering the onslaught of reports that we’ve reviewed over the past two weeks. Despite being small in number, some of the reports this week had a major impact on the Forex market. The Bank of England minutes from Wednesday are a prime example.

There were not a lot of major economic stories in the news this week, so instead of chatting away about the NBA season or what college football teams are going to what bowl games, we’ll just jump right to the reports. Without any further ado, here is this week’s installment of the week in review.
