This Week is Nice and Simple
October 30, 2009 · Print This Article
Welcome to the 70th installment of this week in review. It’s kind of hard to believe this much time has passed already, but over the past months a lot has improved. The first report came out at a time when the world financial markets could be compared to the famous story of Nero playing his harp while Rome was burning. Although we’re not completely out of the woods yet, fortunately a lot of positives have occurred since the worst of the storm, and there are plenty of reasons to have an optimistic hope about the future.
This week was about average as far as the number of major economic reports released. The reports are relatively evenly spread out, although Switzerland and Great Britain are absent this week as all of their reports were minor in nature.
While on some weeks recently the main economic news has been outside the scope of these reports with conferences or meetings, this week is nice and simple as the main news on the world economies comes directly from these releases.
So without any further delay, let’s jump into this week in review.
